Role PurposeThe Customer Service Agent will be responsible for checking in passengers for flights at the ticket counter and gates, verifying passenger documentation, assigning seats, providing gate information, checking baggage, and assisting passengers with their issues in the airport. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.
Shift11:00‑12:00 and 14:30‑15:00
What You Will Be Doing- Assist passengers with check‑ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and other passenger issues in the airport, keeping a positive attitude while offering assistance.
- Host self‑service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft.
- Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
- Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check‑in, lobby, gate, baggage).
- Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats in the gate area.
You will have a responsibility and duty while at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. What We Are Looking For- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Computer skills are required as you will be using computer‑based systems to perform some of your primary job duties.
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English, with excellent communication skills.
- Must have a positive, can‑do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check‑in areas.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Must be comfortable lifting/moving up to 70 lbs of cargo and baggage.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check‑in areas.
- Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
