POSITION OVERVIEW
CABLE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (FULL-TIME)
We are hiring sales agents to support a national cable service provider. This role requires strong customer engagement, a positive and persuasive personality, and a drive to succeed. A competitive base wage, sales commissions and contest incentives are offered.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties of the role include:
- Handle inbound and outbound contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
- Listen to customers, understand their needs, and resolve customer issues.
- Research systems to find missing information and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Follow processes of the Client program and perform all tasks in a professional manner.
- Utilize systems and technology to complete account management tasks.
- Accurately document and process customer claims in the appropriate systems.
- Follow all required scripts, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize knowledge base and training to answer customer questions accurately.
- Comply with requirements regarding confidential and personal information.
- Appropriately and effectively escalate customer issues to management.
- Ensure first‑call resolution through problem solving and effective call handling.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and review all new training material to stay current.
- Adhere to all attendance and work schedule requirements.
Required
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with data entry utilizing a computer.
- Ability to read and speak English fluently.
- Home wired, high‑speed internet connection (≥20
Mbps). - Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Typing speed of ≥20 words per minute.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts during hours of operation, including the training period.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications and the ability to learn new systems.
- Highly reliable with regular attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.
- Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, and negotiation.
- Customer service oriented: empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious.
- Ability to multi‑task, stay focused, and self‑manage.
- Strong team orientation and customer focus.
- Can thrive in a fast‑paced environment with change and ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with team and customers.
Preferred (Not Required)
- One year of experience in customer service, technical support, inside sales, back‑office, chat, or administrative support in a contact‑center environment.
- State or Federal work experience.

The position requires prolonged sedentary work in an office environment using a computer and telephone headset. Employee may need to sit or stand for long periods, operate office equipment, and occasionally move or lift objects up to 40 pounds.
