Responsibilities

  • Designs the project and estimates the costs of the project for the customer.
  • Interfaces with customers and ensures that all of the customers’ concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establishes design budgets and deadlines for customers.
  • Conducts appropriate site analysis.
  • Continually informs and updates customers as to design progress or lack thereof.
  • Conducts site visits and ensures the project is produced as designed with appropriate materials.
  • Analyzes and approves all change orders.
  • Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Skill set and educational requirements
  • Minimum of three years of design experience in the green industry.
  • Able to conduct a thorough site analysis.
  • Able to analyze drainage and grading requirements.
  • Able to design quickly and efficiently.
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment. Candidate may be required to work directly with clients and production staff for the coordination of projects
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Experience with customer service and the ability to work well with clients, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with both new and current clients.
  • Applicants shall possess knowledge of project estimating, design, and plant varieties.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge and efficiency.
  • Complete all tasks correctly and on time. Consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Additional requirements include strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, paying high attention to detail, participating in design and construction meetings, and demonstrating creative thinking.
Other Duties
  • Support SLM’s goals and values.
  • Follow policies and procedures.
  • Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on the company’s insurance policy.
  • Undertake self-development activities.
  • Additional projects assigned, as needed.
