Position: Faculty, HVAC (Temp)

Overview / Job Summary:

The Temporary Faculty for the HVAC program is responsible for delivering course content and providing hands-on training to students in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is ideal for individuals with substantial industry experience who are eager to share their knowledge and skills with aspiring HVAC professionals. The role includes developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
  • Deliver engaging instruction aligned with course objectives and industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Implement technology and tools that enhance instructional delivery.
  • Collaborate with the academic team and support staff to facilitate student success.
  • Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent WSU Tech at relevant community and recruitment events.
Requirements

Education:
    • Technical certificate or higher in HVAC or related field, preferred.
    • EPA 608 certification required.
Requirements, Knowledge & Skills Needed:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the HVAC industry, required (any level).
  • Prior teaching or training experience, not required.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into teaching practices to enhance learning.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage diverse tasks.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion within the educational setting.
