Elementary Teacher
Oaklawn Elementary School is seeking an Elementary R.I.S.E. Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year.
With support from the ESSDACK Resilience Team, this teacher will support students who have been long term suspended or expelled, as determined or assigned by a hearing committee. The role involved providing academic instruction and social emotional support to help students transition back into their classrooms alongside a paraprofessional.

8). Salary ranges from $50,003 to $85,354 based on experience and education. The regular teacher contract is currently 184.5 days.

ESOL Endorsement RequirementsElementary classroom teachers, as well as middle and high school language arts teachers, are required to obtain an ESOL endorsement by the end of their third year with the district. Requirements for obtaining the endorsement are set by the Kansas State Department of Education and may include coursework and/or passing the appropriate exam. To support this process, the district provides access to a Canvas course to help teachers prepare for the exam and will reimburse the exam cost once the endorsement is completed.

Purpose:
The Classroom Instructor creates a positive learning environment to facilitate students’ personal, social, and intellectual development and works closely with staff and district administration.
