Trinity Academy is dedicated to partner with parents in providing a Christ-centered, college-preparatory education for students committed to spiritual growth and academic excellence.
Purpose StatementThe purpose of Trinity Academy is to train college-bound students to know, honor, and love Jesus Christ by imparting TRUTH(academic knowledge, “to know”), FAITH(spiritual disciplines, “to believe”), and CHARACTER(Christian values, “to do”).
Philosophy of Christian EducationScripture clearly teaches that parents are responsible for their children’s education and discipline. The school is not a substitute for the home. Rather, it is an extension of the home and one means through which parents may fulfill the responsibility for education given by the Lord. Trinity Academy affirms that the Bible is authoritative, reliable, and the final source of truth.
Education can be most effectively accomplished in an environment that recognizes that all truth is God’s truth, and the fear of the Lord is the foundation of all wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, within the school curriculum there exists an emphasis on the unity of all truth and on the development of an eternal perspective on life.
Trinity Academy is searching for a Dean of Academics, Curriculum, and Instruction to serve as a senior administrator responsible for designing, implementing, and improving Trinity’s K-12 academic program. This new position is designed for a “leader of leaders” who will guide teachers and build a vertically integrated curriculum that bridges the K-8 and High School programs. Lead curriculum review cycles and adoption processes in collaboration with faculty and the Upper and Lower School Heads.
- Instructional Leadership: Promote effective and inspiring instruction by developing written instructional frameworks and teaching guidelines. Equip faculty for instruction through observation and support, while leaving the execution of instruction and formal faculty evaluations in the hands of the lower and upper school heads.
- Faith Integration: Help teachers effectively integrate their faith and Biblical worldview into everyday instruction across all subjects, helping to move beyond “boxed” curriculum to restore the artistry of teaching and remind educators of their calling.
- Professional Development: Plan and deliver training for faculty that mitigates fatigue, nurtures their love of learning, and equips them to inspire a love of learning in their students. Mentor grade-level team leaders and department leaders while identifying professional learning needs across the organization.
- Data Analysis & Assessment: Utilize assessment systems and student performance data to assess and guide instructional improvements, and closely monitor progress toward the school’s academic goals.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to educational standards and work collaboratively with accreditation team leaders to accomplish goals.
