Access bridge Success Coach
WSU Tech is seeking a dedicated Access Bridge Success Coach to support students participating in the Access Bridge program and, as needed, other students with disabilities served through Student Accessibility and Support Services. Access Bridge is an inclusive postsecondary transition program that uses person-centered planning and inclusive practices to support students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in academic access, campus engagement, and preparation for competitive integrated employment and independent adulthood.
This role focuses on providing academic coaching, personal support, and resource navigation, helping students build self-advocacy skills and effectively access campus and community resources to support their success both in college and beyond.
Compensation: $23.01 /hr (this position is grant funded)

Overview/Job Summary:
The Access Bridge Success Coach provides comprehensive support services to Access Bridge students, assisting them with academic planning, career development, and addressing barriers to success. The coach collaborates with faculty, staff, and community resources to create a supportive and inclusive environment fostering student retention and completion.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support recruitment and selection of Access Bridge program participants
- Provide academic, personal, and transitional coaching to students
- Monitor student progress and assist with semester planning
- Connect students to tutoring, faculty support, and campus resources
- Develop students' executive functioning skills (time management, organization, task initiation, etc.)
- Coach students on employment readiness, including:
- Resume building
- Interview preparation
- Job search strategies
- Guide students in independent living skills such as budgeting and navigating campus
- Encourage participation in campus activities, clubs, and events
- Maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and support plans
- Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and campus partners to ensure student success
- Provide support for students with disabilities, helping reduce academic and personal barriers
