Substitute Teacher

Thank you for your interest in being a substitute teacher for the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. Requirements include a copy of your Emergency Substitute License or Kansas State Teaching License, a copy of a current, negative TB test (within the last year), and verification of VIRTUS training. Registration for VIRTUS is available tus.org. Procedure:
When applying on the Catholic Diocese of Wichita website, you will complete the application and submit. Upon notification of your application, the Catholic School Office will send you the required forms needed and input your information into Frontline Absence Management. You will receive an email to set up your Frontline account on your desktop and/or mobile application. Your application will be visible to all schools.

Once your Frontline account is created, you will start receiving phone calls and/or emails about open substitute positions. Each school is operated by the parish: therefore you will be paid by that parish/school. Questions about the amount of pay and when payroll is issued may vary and should be directed to each school. Most (not all) of our schools in the Wichita and surrounding areas use Frontline Absence Management.
