Overview /

Job Summary

The Faculty in Allied Health will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction that enhances students’ understanding of the allied healthcare systems. This role will involve both classroom and laboratory instruction, underlining the integration of theoretical concepts and practical application. Faculty in this role should enjoy working with students who are still developing as learners and future professionals, and be committed to helping them grow in confidence, accountability, communication, and academic readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and maintaining course syllabi, ensuring alignment with course objectives and outcomes.
  • Delivering engaging and effective instruction in Allied Health, utilizing current teaching methodologies.
  • Working with a high school-aged population taking college‑level courses.
  • Developing, assessing, and refining course materials to enhance student learning and meet accreditation standards.
  • Maintaining office hours for student support and engagement outside the classroom.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the continual assessment and improvement of the curriculum.
  • Working in a team environment that includes high school and college administration.
Requirements Educational Qualifications
  • Master’s degree required in Health, Science, or related field. A master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in the specified discipline will also meet the requirement.
Experience and Skills
  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
  • Ability to foster student growth and development while maintaining high academic expectations in an early college environment.
  • Ability to engage and motivate high school students in a college-level learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills including strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and educational software applications.
