Position Summary:
Science Lead Teachers deliver primary instructional content within their area of expertise to a given grade level of College Lift scholars.
- Teacher licensure/certification and/or at least two (2) years of instructional experience in Science at an accredited institution of higher education or professional instructional experience in a K-12 instructional environment.
- Ability and commitment to teach 21 Saturdays each academic year.
- Collaborate with instructional assistant to facilitate small group/individual instruction for Saturday Academy.
- Facilitate four 55‑minute instructional sessions in science every Saturday Academy.
- Provide direction to assistant teachers present in each classroom to facilitate instruction.
- Complete post‑instructional data management in collaboration with the Academic Coordinator.
Employee will need to regularly operate and use computers, phones, and other electronic equipment.
Employee will frequently communicate and must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
Employee may need to lift and/or move equipment, tools, or paperwork up to 25 pounds.
Employee may need to position themselves by reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching to adjust or collect equipment and/or supplies.
