Role Description The Scholarship Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position located in Wichita, KS, responsible for managing and administering scholarship programs for current and prospective students. This role oversees the scholarship application and selection processes, ensuring compliance with university and funding policies while maintaining accurate records and reports. The Scholarship Coordinator communicates regularly with students, families, and campus partners to provide guidance on scholarship opportunities, eligibility, and timelines.
Daily activities include reviewing applications, coordinating selection committees, updating scholarship information and systems, and collaborating with financial aid and academic departments to support student success.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with diverse student and stakeholder populations.
- Customer Service skills to provide responsive, respectful, and solution-focused support to students, families, and campus partners.
- Knowledge of Student Financial Aid processes, regulations, and scholarship administration or related experience in financial aid or student services.
- Project Management skills to organize scholarship cycles, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple programs simultaneously.
- Background in Education or higher education administration, student services, or a related field.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and ability to work with student information systems and standard office software.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and support for students from diverse backgrounds.
