Job SummaryA student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job DutiesHigh School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements- Enrolled as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student at WSU
- Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better
Earned a grade of B- or better in the courses student will be tutoring Required ExperienceThis is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and preferences.
Preferred Qualifications- Good communication skills.
- A strong desire to help first generation, limited income students and students with disabilities.
- All applications accepted, but preference will be given to students who can tutor in Accounting, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Spanish.
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
