Assistant Director of Residence Life

Friends University is seeking to fill the Assistant Director of Residence Life position in Wichita Kansas. This position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and developmental educational opportunities within the residential communities. This position will also assist in providing a coordinated effort to our student leadership development efforts across all student leadership on campus. It is a requirement of this position to live in university housing and eat in the Casado dining room.

Must have experience working with college students and supervising student leaders or staff members. Experience in residence life, student conduct, crisis response, housing operations, student leadership development, or related student affairs functions is preferred. Candidates should possess strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with student information systems, database management, and Microsoft Office products is preferred.

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Leadership, or a related field preferred.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Ability to build positive working relationships with students, families, faculty, staff, and campus partners. Must possess the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner, exercise sound judgment, navigate complex student situations, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
