Job Story School of Art, Design and Creative Industries Indirect Teaching Assistantship (GTA-Indirect)

Job Summary The primary function of a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) is toassist with instruction. GTAs have the latitude to make independent decisions, use judgment and exercise discretion when dealing with student matters. The main purpose and responsibility of GTAs is to impart knowledge or training to students at Wichita State University.

Job Duties Duties vary per position to be defined by the School of Art, Designand Creative Industries per semester per engagement.

Required Education Bachelor's Degree

To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to adegree program in either full or conditional standing. Studentsadmitted on probation or placed on academic probation followingadmission may be eligible for assistantship awards under certaincircumstances.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate acomputer and other office equipment including but not limited tophone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
