WSU Tech is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Adjunct Mental Health Technician Instructor to prepare the next generation of behavioral health professionals. Adjunct faculty provide high‑quality instruction in both classroom and lab settings while fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment that promotes student success.

• Teach Mental Health Technician courses in accordance with established curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that support student learning.
• Deliver engaging classroom and/or laboratory instruction.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
• Incorporate current trends and best practices in behavioral and mental health into instruction.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with program faculty and staff to ensure student success and program quality.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with three (3) years of teaching experience in the discipline or subfield or a completed master's degree. A professional development plan to complete a master's degree may be considered.
• Licensed or registered to practice in Kansas, as applicable to the discipline.
• At least two years of experience in psychiatric or developmental disability nursing or behavioral health services.
• Be licensed to practice as a licensed mental health technician and have at least five years of experience post licensure. Two years of work experience shall be waived for those licensed mental health technicians possessing an associates degree.
