The Physical Education Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Wichita, KS. This educator designs and delivers age-appropriate physical education lessons that promote fitness, motor skills development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in alignment with district and state standards. Daily responsibilities include planning and implementing instructional activities, assessing student progress, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, and managing equipment and facilities.

The role also involves collaborating with other educators and support staff, communicating with families and guardians when appropriate, and contributing to school-wide initiatives that support student well-being. The Physical Education Teacher is expected to participate in professional development, comply with school policies and regulations, and model positive, health-conscious behaviors.

• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging physical education instruction, including fitness, motor skills, and health-related activities.
• Skills in classroom and gym management, ensuring safety, positive behavior, and an inclusive environment for students with diverse needs and abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues, supporting staff, and interacting effectively with students and families.
• Ability to assess student performance, use data to inform instruction, and provide constructive feedback that supports growth and confidence.
• Commitment to equity, nondiscriminatory practices, and adherence to school and district policies, including health and safety guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field; valid Kansas teaching license or eligibility for licensure in Physical Education.
• Experience working in K–12 educational settings or student teaching in physical education is preferred.
• Capacity to meet the physical demands of the role, including demonstrating activities, setting up equipment, and supervising active students.
