Wichita State University may be able to sponsor certain faculty positions for employment-based immigration status where authorized by the hiring department and university policy. Sponsorship eligibility varies by faculty position and will be identified in the individual job posting.

For faculty positions eligible for sponsorship, international candidates generally must be eligible for sponsorship in a visa classification compatible with the faculty position. For tenured and tenure-track faculty appointments, visa classifications incompatible with such appointments include F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT), J-1 Research Scholar, and J-1 Academic Training statuses.

Candidates will have an exciting opportunity to help shape thefuture of real estate education and research at Wichita State University. The position will play an important role in advancing the Real Estate program, strengthening partnerships with the real estate industry, and contributing to the development of innovative academic and applied-learning initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of the commercial and residential real estate sectors.

The Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Decision Sciences in the W. Frank Barton School of Business invites applications for anine-month, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Real Estate, beginning August of 2027.

Successful candidates will also play an important role in the academic leadership and continued development of the Real Estate program, with the opportunity to assume formal program leadership responsibilities accompanied by an additional stipend. The candidate will be actively engaged with the Center for Real Estateand its research, educational, and industry partnership activities.

As the candidate develops in the role, and depending on qualifications and mutual interest, there may also be an opportunity to serve as Director of the Center for Real Estate.

Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels using various instructional deliveries (e.g., traditional (face-to-face),hybrid, and fully online). To foster applied learning into thecourse design and engage with industry and local business community applied projects. To advance knowledge through scholarly activities(e.g., active involvement in committees, student mentorship,recruitment and retention initiative, outreach activities,etc.)
