What are your contributions to the team?

The position of Customer Support Engineer (CSE) is within Technical Services in Customer Support reporting to the Manager of Service Engineering. CSE is primarily responsible for creating engineering and FAA Approved Data for field modifications, spare parts support, ground support equipment, and service bulletin support for the Learjet fleet. Applicant must have a working knowledge of engineering and certification processes. The applicant must be able to present issues, their status, and any impact to operators, to both internal and external customers, in both written and presentation formats.

Must be able to work in a cross functional environment and influence without authority.

The position will support all internal discussions and meetings necessary to manage all related projects. Assist as necessary in all relevant issues affecting customer support, including closure of top customer issues. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be a motivator who will ensure positive results, with the end customer in mind. The candidate must have an appreciation for invoicing and billing.

This position is located in Wichita, Kansas.

Responsibilities

  • Modification Kit and Sustaining Spares Engineering (all Learjet models)
  • GSE Development (Ground Support Equipment) (all Learjet models)
  • Certification of replacement parts and software upgrades, both Type Certificate and Supplemental Type Certificate programs
  • Assist in resolving Top Customer Issues
  • Some travel may be required
How to thrive in this role?
  • Proficiency with Auto Cad and/or Catia V5 required
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required
  • You have a university or college degree in a relevant technical field is preferred, BS in engineering is desired
  • Seven (7) years experience in aviation production environment is preferred
  • Five (5) years experience in a customer support engineering environment is preferred
  • You have strong technical ability, with a focus on mechanical/structural/materials
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You are highly motivated, a self-starter and are able to handle multiple issues effectively
  • You are eligible to view and handle ITAR material
  • You are proficient with MS Office tools
  • You have working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA)
  • Passport required
