Project Engineer Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related aviation field and 7-10 years of customer-facing experience. Strong program/project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential for this role.
Responsibilities- Lead the internal technical interface between engineering and the customer, either directly or through the sales account manager.
- Create, collect, consolidate, and summarize technical data to meet customer requirements and deliverables.
- Drive projects to meet company and engineering time, cost, and requirements targets.
- Serve as the gatekeeper for intellectual property in accordance with company policy.
- Support new sales efforts by reviewing proposal requirements and determining compliance.
- Work closely with engineering project managers and teams to assess status and represent progress to sales account managers and customers.
- Provide product-level expertise on functions, features, qualifications, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the proposal process to completion.
- ITAR Compliant
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related aviation field
- 7-10 years of customer-facing experience
- Strong program/project management skills
- Understanding of or experience with electrical and electromechanical products
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of aviation certification and qualification topics
- Familiarity with aviation standards such as RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, MILSTD-461
The position is based on-site, working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM as a direct employee. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams and engaging in a dynamic and interactive environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
