Structural Engineer

We’re looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Architectural Engineering team at our Overland Park location. This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include schools, churches, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, and other commercial and industrial projects.

• Preparation of reports, designs, and drawings.
• Ability to complete structural calculations with different design materials, specifically steel and concrete.
• Familiarity in appropriate selection of building materials.
• Understand the steps of project development and be familiar with the traditional phased approach to industrial projects.
• Prepare cost estimates and/or appropriation request for capital projects.
• Point of contact for clients to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.
• Develop and maintain client relations.

• B.S. in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• PE license in Kansas is preferred (or on track to obtain a PE license).
• Familiar with Structural Drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Proficient Structural Analysis software (RISA, STAAD, Enercalc, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
