Position: Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer
About the Role

We're expanding into a new sector of our manufacturing business and need an experienced engineer to help establish and optimize our manufacturing operations from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to build systems, processes, and infrastructure while working directly with ownership in a growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient shop layouts and process flows for new manufacturing operations
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fabrication and assembly processes
  • Create detailed fabrication drawings and 3D models using Solid Works
  • Design work cells, optimize production scheduling, and improve workflow efficiency
  • Establish procurement systems and receiving processes for components and materials
  • Support automation initiatives including integration of robotic welding systems
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for operations management and reporting
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency with Solid Works for 3D modeling and fabrication drawings
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, work cell design, and lean principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with weld design and automated welding systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Background in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety standards
