Take the lead in designing next generation avionics instrumentation and power electronics systems used in aircraft around the world. This is an opportunity to join an elite engineering team building the Flex Custom Instrument Platform
, including high-speed digital interfaces, graphics & LCD systems, and advanced DC‑AC conversion technologies.
We are looking for a digital focused CE/EE engineer who loves hands‑on design, PCB development, embedded coding, and building hardware that goes into real aircraft.
What Makes This Role ExcitingYou will work across the full product lifecycle
:
- Concept development
- Schematic capture & mixed-signal design
- PCB design & layout coordination
- FPGA development (VHDL)
- Embedded programming (C)
- Hardware bring‑up & troubleshooting
- Test, validation, and certification
You won't be stuck in one discipline – you will touch hardware, firmware, digital comms, PCB design, and system integration
.
- 5-10 years digital design experience
- Strong background in DC‑AC circuitry (mandatory)
- Experience with mixed-signal schematics & PCB design
- Familiarity with high‑speed digital buses such as SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, LVDS, and other high‑speed communication channels
- Ability to write and debug embedded C
- Ability to write and troubleshoot VHDL for FPGA designs
- Comfortable building hardware by hand (soldering, debugging, testing with scopes, analyzers, meters)
- Able to prototype, test, and validate designs
- CE degree preferred (EE also accepted, CSE considered)
- Design schematics for digital and mixed‑signal circuits
- Work with PCB layout engineers to finalize board designs
- Develop & test embedded microcontroller software (C)
- Develop FPGA firmware (VHDL)
- Bring up prototypes and troubleshoot hardware issues
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, software, power, and certification teams
- Support battery systems, avionics instrumentation, sensing, data conversion, and storage products
- Participate in DFM/DFT, verification, and environmental/EMI compliance testing
- Document designs (BOMs, ECOs, work instructions)
- Experience with RTCA DO 160, MIL STD 810, MILSTD 461
- DFM / DFT best practices
- Aviation, aerospace, or regulated industry experience
- Work on cutting‑edge avionics used by top aircraft manufacturers
- High ownership – your designs directly impact next‑gen products
