HiFyve is hiring a Plant Engineering Director in the Industrial Manufacturing industry in Wichita, KS!

Salary: $160k - $175k/year

Shift: Days

Location: Wichita, KS

About the Role

Lead plant engineering and reliability efforts to improve uptime, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM)
  • Manage capital projects (installs, upgrades, layout changes)
  • Align production, maintenance, and engineering efforts
  • Support automation and plant modernization
  • Develop KPIs and maintenance performance tracking
  • Lead PM/PdM programs and CMMS optimization
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA)
  • Mentor and support maintenance teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience in plant engineering, maintenance, or reliability
  • Strong CMMS and maintenance program experience
  • Knowledge of PM/PdM, RCA, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools
  • Heavy capital project (Cap Ex) management experience required
  • Experience leading COINS projects and plant improvement initiatives
  • Strong maintenance and equipment reliability background
  • Experience managing projects, vendors, and budgets
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Must be a strong, classically trained manufacturing professional with a hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mentality
