Senior Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering)

Location:

McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas.

This role involves serving as a liaison engineer in the Boeing Global Services KC‑46 Tanker program, applying MRB certification and engineering expertise to review and resolve product/process issues for the USAF KC‑46 fleet.

• Partner with Field Services Representatives, Supply representatives and Contractor Field Teams.
• Apply Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct failure analysis, root‑cause analysis and develop repair dispositions for non‑conformances.
• Develop interim or final engineering solutions for post‑production product/process issues and technical/operational quality matters.
• Identify deviations that could impact design intent and safety, and support product/process improvement activities.
• Provide written dispositions for routine design non‑conformances.
• Develop routine customer correspondence related to safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Support Integrated Product Teams and participate in design reviews.
• Recommend non‑destructive test procedures, tools and standards.
• Represent the engineering community during build‑through and post‑production activities.
• Design temporary and permanent structural repairs, conduct static strength analysis, and coordinate with appropriate design groups.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
• Material Review Board (MRB) certification.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems or structures.
• 5+ years experience in Production Engineering and/or Production System Design.
• 5+ years in performing MRB product review.
• 5+ years experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience performing stress analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience applying design principles to resolve product issues throughout product lifecycle.
• Experience developing dispositions for aircraft non‑conformances.
• Strong teamwork and independent work skills with operations and engineering disciplines.
• Work effectively with internal team members, management, customers, and cross‑departmental teams.
• Universal Product Review (UPR) certification.

Security Clearance:
Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Shift: 1st Shift.

Relocation:
Available based on candidate eligibility.

Pay Range (Senior‑Level Summary): $118,150 to $159,850.
