As a Program Engineer, you will lead the technical interface between sales account managers and design engineers to secure programs and provide aftermarket support to customers. Programs include new product development and existing product qualification and certification efforts for aviation products such as cockpit avionics, power conversion equipment, and battery systems. To be successful in this role, you will need to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external customers.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with sales account managers to secure new product development and existing product qualification and certification programs.
- Serve as the technical liaison between engineering and customers, providing product‑level expertise on functions, features, qualifications, and capabilities.
- Create, collect, consolidate, and summarize technical data to meet customer requirements and deliverables.
- Drive projects to meet company and engineering time, cost, and requirements targets.
- Support new sales efforts by reviewing proposal requirements and determining compliance.
- Work closely with engineering project managers and teams to assess status and represent progress to sales account managers and customers.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an aviation field.
- Strong program/project management skills.
- Understanding of, or experience with, electrical and electromechanical products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, focus, and results orientation.
- Problem‑solving with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of aviation certification (Type Certificate and Supplemental Type Certificates) and qualification topics.
- Knowledge of aviation standards such as RTCA/DO‑160, DO‑178, DO‑254, MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461.
