Senior Roadway Engineer

WSP USA is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Wichita, KS office. This is an opportunity to join a team designing some of the most complex and impactful transportation projects in Kansas. Our Wichita team focuses on delivering projects for our clients while mentoring and developing team members to prepare them for future opportunities.

• Lead tasks & design teams in the execution of projects
• Provide technical expertise in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design, and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications
• Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design
• Maintain positive team and client relationships
• Collaborate with key staff across disciplines (i.e. drainage, structures) as required

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or closely related field from accredited university
• 5+ years of experience in the Transportation engineering field
• Professional Engineer’s License in Kansas
• Hands-on experience in Open Roads Designer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
