Job Overview
VP Aviation is hiring experienced Avionics Technicians to support C-130 aircraft modification programs in Wichita, Kansas. This opportunity offers the chance to work on military aircraft systems, avionics upgrades, flight deck instrument installations, wiring modifications, harness fabrication, navigation systems, and aircraft troubleshooting activities supporting critical aircraft modernization programs.

Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of Avionics Experience
- Preferred experience on C-130, B-52, KC-135, and other military aircraft platforms
- Knowledge of Technical Directives (TDs) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) is highly beneficial
- First Shift (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Monday through Friday
- 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Perform avionics modifications on C-130 aircraft
- Install flight deck instruments and avionics components
- Fabricate wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies
- Reroute aircraft wiring and electrical systems
- Install navigation equipment and associated components
- Support safety and surveillance system installations
- Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and avionics systems
- Read and interpret aircraft drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Complete aircraft modifications in accordance with engineering requirements
- Document work performed and support quality standards
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Candidates with military aircraft avionics experience are encouraged to apply. Experience supporting C-130 aircraft is preferred, but technicians with experience on B-52, KC-135, and similar military platforms will also be considered.
Knowledge of Technical Directives (TDs) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) is highly beneficial. These documents provide mandatory maintenance and modification requirements similar in purpose to FAA Airworthiness Directives and are commonly used on military aircraft programs.
