Civil Engineer (Land Development / Municipal Projects)
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting team supporting a wide range of public and private sector projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on land development, municipal infrastructure, and transportation-related design projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and support civil engineering projects including land development, site design, and municipal infrastructure
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public and private projects
- Assist with roadway, drainage, and utility (water/wastewater/stormwater) design
- Coordinate with municipalities, counties, and state agencies to meet regulatory requirements
- Support project management, permitting, and construction administration efforts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including survey, planning, and construction staff
- Review and analyze technical data, reports, and design calculations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- EIT required; PE or ability to obtain preferred
- 2+ years of experience in civil design, land development, or municipal engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, or Open Roads preferred
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles
- Familiarity with DOT or municipal standards is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
