Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Wichita, KS. The Civil Engineer will work on the planning, analysis, and design of civil infrastructure projects such as site development, roadways, utilities, and stormwater systems. Daily responsibilities include preparing design calculations, drawings, and technical reports; coordinating with internal project teams and external partners; and assisting with permit applications and regulatory compliance.

The role involves performing site visits, supporting construction administration tasks such as reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs, and helping to ensure project quality, schedule, and budget are maintained. The Civil Engineer will also contribute to project planning, assist in developing proposals, and support continuous improvement of design standards and best practices.

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical infrastructure solutions.
• Experience working as part of a Civil Engineering team (Civil Engineers) on multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with designers, surveyors, and construction professionals.
• Skills in Planning for civil projects, including preliminary layouts, feasibility assessments, and coordination with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management, including hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, drainage system design, and compliance with local and state regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; EIT certification preferred, PE license or ability to obtain it in the future is a plus.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar) and basic familiarity with relevant modeling or analysis software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, plans, and documentation and interact professionally with clients and agencies.
• Ability to work on-site in Wichita, KS, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and occasionally perform field work and site visits as project needs require.
