Our Federal Team at Garver is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to help ensure our design solutions exceed requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities- Organize and coordinate multi‑discipline Quality Control Reviews.
- Participate in the review of civil‑related portions of project plans, specifications, and design reports.
- Assist with review of civil‑related construction submittals.
- Join design progress meetings for select projects.
- Ensure appropriate quality control procedures are followed.
- Maintain appropriate documentation in accordance with project contract requirements.
- Travel occasionally for industry‑related conference attendance or project‑specific meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- 20+ years of site/civil project experience.
- Detail‑oriented and a team player with strong self‑initiative to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Some travel may be required with occasional overnight stays.
- Experience with USACE and other DoD‑type projects.
- Construction observation and/or submittal reviews for site/civil‑related projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
