Electrical Design Engineer
Zim Zee Recruiting is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced avionics, power electronics, and battery management systems used in high-performance, safety-critical applications. This position offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle—from concept development and requirements definition through design, implementation, testing, certification, and field support.
Skills and Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Strong experience with precision instrumentation, signal conditioning, ADC/DAC interfaces, and integrated circuit applications.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools such as PADS, LTspice, or equivalent.
- Experience with PCB layout principles, mixed-signal simulation, and hardware design best practices.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, impedance matching, and EMI/EMC design practices, including familiarity with standards such as RTCA DO-160 and/or MIL-STD-461.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic hardware using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Design and develop analog and mixed-signal electronic circuits, including amplifiers, filtering stages, and ADC/DAC interfaces for precision instrumentation and avionics applications.
- Lead mixed-signal system integration activities, ensuring reliable signal conditioning, data conversion, and overall system performance.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new electronic components and technologies to improve existing and future product designs.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and certification engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Build, test, troubleshoot, and validate prototype hardware using industry-standard laboratory equipment while resolving design and performance issues.
- Develop manufacturing support tools and contribute to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) initiatives as needed.
