Position: Research and Development Engineering Technician

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to R&D Engineering team and Production team
- Layup prepreg composite parts, waterjet operations, limited lathe operations, facilitate material and coupon transportation, locate and track Vehicle R&D materials and coupons in various LTC facilities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong technical acumen including an in-depth understanding of manufacturing
- Read and interpret drawings
- Build prototypes, tooling, etc. with limited direction
- Experience with composites (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be self-motivated and able to be successful with limited supervision
- Mentally flexible with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Follow written and verbal, multi-step instructions, and communicate questions and suggestions to peers, supervisors and other LTC personnel
- Computer skills
- Basic knowledge of Syte Line (Preferred)
- Creating and Tracking Work Orders, issuing material
- Basic CAD based modeling, AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc. (Preferred)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
- Hand / Finger dexterity
- Visual acuity
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull heavy materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Hourly Position
