EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of manufacturing bills of materials (MBOMs) and manufacturing routings to satisfy customer requirements.
- Assists in the development, release and maintenance of all manufacturing documents process flow charts, work instructions, control plans, supplemental data files etc. to satisfy customer requirements.
- Responsible for sustaining engineering activities including but not limited to the implementation of PCRs, ECNs VPS, MBOM and Routing updates
- Determines tooling requirements for assemblies
- Provide engineering technical support to manufacturing
- Communicates design concerns, drawing errors, interpretation issues, component incompatibilities and possible manufacturing enhancements to the applicable Program Management Services representative.
- Prepares Build-to-Print quote form with material take-off and labor estimates and supplies the finished form to sales for final pricing
- Assesses the cost impact of customer changes and prepares material and labor estimates for sales.
- Technically document procedures and processes
- Provide technical support to purchasing, operations, and sales.
- Assists in the Planning and implementation of new programs and products into production in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Assists Manufacturing Engineers in assessing the cost impact of customer changes in order to develop a cost estimate for sales.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to production processes (Kaizen events and 6S workshops)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associates degree in an engineering discipline or 2 years of manufacturing experience in a custom make to order environment;
- Interconnect Industry Experience Preferred
- CAD experience:
AutoCAD, Inventor Professional, Siemens NX experience - Preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude always required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Microsoft Windows and Office applications experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and flow charts
