Responsibilities:
- Manage capital projects and technical projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Develop and maintain work instructions and Standard Operating Sheets (SOS).
- Support assembly manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment improvements.
- Apply industrial engineering principles for line design and line balancing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Tool & Fixture Design, Components Manufacturing, and Factory Automation.
- Prepare and present weekly project status updates to key stakeholders.
- Utilize Teamcenter, Creo/ProE, Process Planning Tools, AutoCAD, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to support manufacturing operations.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing/World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Analyze manufacturing problems and implement effective solutions.
- Organize, plan, and execute engineering projects while meeting project timelines.
- Build strong relationships and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Support manufacturing operations at plant locations and relocate as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology (foreign equivalent accepted).
- 6-10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry or Agriculture/Construction Equipment Manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in shop floor engineering with work instructions, Standard Operating Sheets (SOS), assembly manufacturing processes, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
- Experience managing capital projects and/or technical projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, including line design and line balancing.
- Cross-functional experience in Product Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Tool & Fixture Design, Components Manufacturing, Factory Automation, or related technical fields.
- Proficiency with Teamcenter, Creo/ProE, Process Planning Tools, AutoCAD, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project execution skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Willingness to relocate and work from a manufacturing site.
