Prototype Technician
Knowledge of Test Preparation Systems.
Aircraft systems and blueprint knowledge.
Fabricate/modify experimental aircraft parts.
Prepare aircraft test components and systems for testing.
Fabrication of sheet metal as well as composite components.
Modify flight test aircraft components per engineering requirements.
Years of aircraft fabrication and/or tooling or jig building - Required.
Troubleshoot aircraft test systems and repair aircraft test equipment discrepancies.
Mechanical ability to use powered shop equipment tools including shear, band saw and brake.
Working knowledge of manuals including equipment manuals, Manufacturing manuals, Aircraft Maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and FAA documents.
Flight-line ground safety procedure knowledge.
