Responsibilities
Create detailed structural drawings and models using Revit in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Prepare and revise structural plans, sections, and details to support engineering design and construction activities.
Use AutoCAD and other drafting tools to develop and update structural drawings as needed.
Collaborate with structural designers and engineers to interpret design intent and translate it into clear, buildable drawings.
Support a broad range of projects and industries by adapting drafting approaches to different structural systems and requirements.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all drafting work, including dimensions, notes, and references.
Organize, maintain, and update drawing files and documentation in an efficient and accessible manner.
Review drawings for quality control and make corrections based on feedback from project team members.
Proven experience as a structural drafter, with at least a couple of years working with Revit on structural projects.
Strong proficiency in Revit for structural drafting and modeling.
Hands-on experience with structural design concepts sufficient to understand and represent structural elements accurately in drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and revising structural drawings.
Solid understanding of structural drafting standards, conventions, and best practices.
Ability to support a wide variety of projects and industries with flexible and adaptable drafting skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality drawings.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on diverse structural projects across different industries.
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and project team members.
Good organizational skills for managing multiple drawings and project files.
Strong communication skills to clarify design intent and address drawing-related questions.
The role involves working in a professional design and engineering environment that relies heavily on Revit and AutoCAD for structural drafting. You will typically work at a computer workstation using industry-standard software and digital file management systems, collaborating with project teams to deliver accurate structural documentation across a variety of projects and industries.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
