We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support aerostructures repair development and non-conformance activities. This position will evaluate discrepant hardware, develop practical repair concepts, prepare technical substantiation, and produce complete repair documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Experience supporting aerostructures non-conformance disposition, repair design, discrepant hardware evaluation, repair concept development, technical substantiation, and repair documentation
. - Hands-on experience in repair design using CATIA V5 and GD&T for metallic and/or composite aerostructures.
- Experience with engineering release/change control and repair substantiation
. - Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Stress, Design, and Certification teams to develop and implement repair solutions.
- Strong preference for Repair Engineers with hands-on shop-floor experience supporting aircraft primary and/or secondary structures.
- Experience working on Primary Structures
, including fuselage, wings, empennage (tail section), nacelles, and flight-control structures
. - Experience working on Secondary Structures
, including fairings, fillets, cowlings, doors, winglets, leading edges, and other secondary structural components
. - Preferred:
Experience with
fuselage, nacelle, and pylon structures
.
Required qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in aerospace repair design
- Experience with aircraft structural repairs
- Knowledge of metallic and/or composite structures
- Proficiency with CATIA V5 and GD&T
- Experience with non-conformance or MRB support
- Knowledge of repair substantiation and engineering-release processes
- Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred experience:
- Fuselage, nacelle, or pylon product knowledge
- Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with repair documentation and certification requirements
