POSITION SUMMARYUtilize and apply the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to analyze microelectronic components that have failed or are being considered for high reliability applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE- Assist in the development of processes used for component analysis.
- Participate in the formation and documentation of new analysis techniques.
- Perform hands-on inspection of components to identify and categorize anomalies associated with defects driven by the manufacturing process.
- Record test results, make computations, and analyze results.
- Become proficient operating analysis equipment.
- Devise and run tests to baseline device electrical characteristics.
- Coordinate with engineering, analysts, customer service, production and shipping departments to implement fulfillment of customer’s needs.
- Follow Quality Documentation Manual procedures as they apply to assigned activities.
- Verify device counts, inspect device and lead integrity, and read and interpret project-specific instruction.
- Collect and analyze data used for industry presentations and in support of standards setting activities.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; however, an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or a combination of education and experience wherein the skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities and functions have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.
Experience: Up to 2 years of the following experience is required:
- Effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and other computer products and programs.
- Utilize effective communication skills to achieve required results.

- Ability to:
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Use time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner.
