Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support aircraft instruments, avionics, and power systems for OEM and aftermarket customers. In this role, you will commission, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in the field, perform on-site diagnostics, coordinate RMAs, and provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance teams. You'll interpret engineering documentation, ensure compliance with aviation and quality standards, and document all service activity.

Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and QA to resolve complex issues, drive continuous improvement, and deliver reliable, safety-focused customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft instruments, avionics, and power systems
  • Perform diagnostics using schematics, test equipment, and software tools to resolve field issues
  • Interface with OEM, aftermarket, and operator maintenance teams to deliver technical support and training
  • Document service actions, test results, and parts usage in accordance with company and aviation standards
  • Coordinate RMAs, repairs, and upgrades with internal engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality requirements in all field service activities
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives based on field performance data
  • Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders
