Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is seeking a Certification Engineer to support the design and manufacture of advanced aircraft instruments, avionics, and power systems. In this role, you will plan and execute certification test programs, apply FAA/EASA and industry standards, and develop test plans, procedures, and reports. You'll collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to analyze test data, resolve nonconformances, and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute certification test programs for instruments, avionics, and power systems
  • Interpret and apply FAA, EASA, and industry standards to product designs
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for new and existing products
  • Coordinate lab, environmental, and EMI/EMC testing with internal teams and external labs
  • Analyze test data, document results, and prepare formal certification reports
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to address nonconformances
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to certification failures
  • Maintain requirements traceability and configuration control of certification artifacts
  • Interface with customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement of certification processes and test methods
