2027 Internship - Electronics Development Engineer
As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways – working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.
Develop Electronic Modules utilized in the control and monitoring of various systems on-board the aircraft. Tasks include circuit design, PC board layout, software design, verification and integration on Textron Aviation products.
Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft.
Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to functionally test and troubleshoot avionics/electrical modules or systems.
Assist with validation of electronic circuit design concepts using SPICE software.
Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software.
Utilize VHDL to modify and maintain Programmable Logic Devices.
Assist with preparation of engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities.
Assist with preparation of functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies.
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in:
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, Minor in Technical Writing is beneficial.
Experience with use of electronic test equipment.
Strong computer skills.
Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects of various size and scope.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and diplomatic demeanor.
