Job Description

The Martin Financial Group, a rapidly growing financial planning and advisory firm based in Wichita, KS is looking to hire a Trader. This individual will have the opportunity to grow and be a part of a national wealth management team that delivers customized wealth management and investment strategies, complex financial planning, and retirement income distribution strategies for our clients. We serve emerging affluent, high net-worth and ultra-high net-worth individuals, families, and business clients.

Role

Profile Summary

A Trader with The Martin Financial Group focuses on helping the firm, its Advisors and Clients by ensuring accuracy and timeliness in trade processing. This role also collaborates with the entire Investment Team to contribute to portfolio and security research for the firm’s clients and advisors.

Core Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and execute the setup, maintenance, monitoring, and management of Park Avenue Capital’s portfolio models.
  • Coordinate with Park Avenue Capital’s Portfolio Management Team to implement rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting, and portfolio transition efforts across enterprise to align trading activities with portfolio objectives.
  • Participate in managing and resolving portfolio variance and other Investment Policy alerts.
  • Communicate with the firm’s advising team to ensure accurate and timely completion of ad-hoc trading and asset movement requests.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office suite of tools with an emphasis on Excel.
    • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses.
    • 3-5 years in the wealth management or investment management industry.
  • Preferred
    • Experience with Envestnet trading (Worksheet, Folio or Tamarac)
