• Perform loan reviews to ensure elements for secure lending are in place, reviewing all loan documentation for accuracy and verifying the core system is set up correctly.
• Perfect collateral when necessary.
• Assist with compliance audits throughout the year for Loan Operations to ensure regulatory compliance, sampling closed loans using a checklist and testing each criteria.
• Review reports as assigned for Loan Operations to ensure regulatory, safety, and soundness guidelines are followed.
• Cultivate internal customer satisfaction within the Loan Operations department by preventing future loan file exceptions, tracking loan file errors in the system and advising loan officers and processors how to avoid the same errors in the future.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor will be performed to address unexpected situations or needs that may arise.

• Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit, and relevant regulations required.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong adaptability, collaboration, and decision‑making skills required.
• Engages in development and continual evolution of process and procedure updates to ensure knowledge is shared amongst the team.

• One year’s experience in a financial institution loan operations area.
• FIS Horizon core system experience is preferred.
