Salary Range: $73,852.00 To $92,315.60 Annually
Role: Support CUA's annual loan growth and net income goals by performing a dual role of developing and maintaining relationships with car dealers and working as a indirect loan officer.
Essential Functions- Develop and maintain partnerships with auto dealerships by promoting CUA's products and services. Act as liaison between CUDL and other departments/areas of the credit union. Establish collaborative partnerships with other business lines within CUA.
- Analyze current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Make decision to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision. Establish the terms and conditions of an approved loan. Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completeness and accuracy and review them with the member.
- Foster positive relationships between dealerships, members, and branches.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of products and services offered by the credit union and its competitors. Monitor financial industry trends to develop recommendations for management regarding enhancements to products, pricing, and processes and strategy.
- Maintain CUA's market share in the top 5 liens filed in the counties we serve as reported by Auto Count. Develop strategies to increase market share in underperforming counties.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of, and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job functions.
- Experience: Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.
- Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., AFIP Certified).
- Other
Skills:- In-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting lending programs.
- Extensive knowledge of consumer lending practices and procedures.
- Develop, create and run lending reports, create and run spreadsheets, and proficiently utilize word processing software.
- Resolve disputes between members, branch staff, automotive dealerships to reach fair agreements and keep relationships in good standing.
