Police Officer, Iola Police Department

The City of Iola is currently accepting applications for 2 full-time patrol officers.

This position is responsible for enforcing all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. Patrol duties include traffic enforcement, criminal investigation, and emergency response.

Wages are dependent on qualifications and range from $21.81 to $32.54 per hour, plus benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license with a good driving record .
• Pass extensive background check, psychological evaluation, written tests, physical agility test, drug test, and pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be of good moral character, temperate, and industrious habits.

A City of Iola Application is required.
