Kansas Law Enforcement Certification is preferred, but any interested applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Your RoleExperienced officers in Eastborough take an active role in:
- Proactive patrol and criminal investigations
- Community policing and neighborhood engagement
- Traffic enforcement and special events
- Assisting other agencies during major incidents or specialized operations
- Mentoring and supporting fellow officers as needed
- Full-time position
- 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off
- Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Pay range: $26.57 - $34.69 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Medical Insurance
- 100% of employee premium paid by the City
- 70% of spouse/dependent premium paid by the City
- Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
- Employee responsible for first $750 of deductible
- Remaining deductible covered by HRA
- Dedicated HRA liaison for personal support
- Dental and Vision Insurance optional
- Retirement Package
- Paid vacation, sick leave, and personal time
- Holiday pay, including six double-time holidays annually
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 21 years of age
- No felony, domestic violence, or serious misdemeanor convictions
- Current certified law enforcement officer preferred
Applicants may be required to complete a written exam, physical agility test, oral interview, polygraph, psychological evaluation, background investigation, drug screening, and physical examination.
