Job Description SummaryThe Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking a full-time Clinical Neuropsychologist. This position will perform neuropsychological assessments on patients in the outpatient clinic and other sites as contracted. Faculty responsibilities include clinical supervision of neuropsychology trainees at all levels, medical students, and residents as well as occasional classroom lecturing.
Scholarly activity is required including supervision of learner scholarship. Resources to support developing programs of research are available.
Clinical Services 75%
- Neuropsychological evaluation of inpatients geriatric, neurology, epilepsy and or general medical
- Neuropsychological evaluation outpatients with brain injuries, dementia, and or neurological disease
- A regular clinical schedule will be set with the Department Chair and maintained. Changes to the clinical schedule must be approved by the Department Chair
- Maintain documentation of medical records and reports. All documentation must be complete and filed in a timely manner according to MPA requirements
Teaching & Education 15%
- Supervise psychology trainees and laboratory technicians
- Provide didactics to medical students, psychiatric residents, and psychology trainees
Research & Scholarship 5%
- Meet research and scholarly activity faculty requirements
Professional and Academic Service 5%
- Meet professional and academic service faculty requirements

EducationRequired Qualifications:
- Must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. or Psy.
D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology - Must have completed two years of fellowship in neuropsychology.
- Must have completed an APA accredited internship
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Certifications/ Licenses
- Must be able to practice and obtain permanent license in the State of Kansas as a licensed psychologist
Education:
APA approved clinical psychology fellowship program

- Established record of scholarly activities in the form of publications
- Experience performing neuropsychological evaluations of adults and older adults
