Houseman - Inn Express Northeast Wichita Kansas

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Houseman to join our housekeeping team at the Holiday Inn Express Northeast Wichita. The Houseman plays an important role in keeping the hotel clean, organized, and welcoming for our guests. This position works closely with the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to our hotel standards.

• Assist housekeeping staff with daily cleaning and room preparation needs.
• Deliver clean linens, towels, and other supplies to guest rooms and housekeeping areas.
• Collect and transport dirty linens, towels, and trash.
• Keep hallways, elevators, stairways, public areas, and other assigned areas clean and presentable.
• Assist with maintaining housekeeping supply rooms and closets in an organized manner.
• Assist Room Attendants with requests for additional supplies or other housekeeping needs.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items to management.
• Assist with moving furniture, mattresses, carts, and other items when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment and storage areas.
• Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and guest-service standards.
• Work cooperatively with housekeeping and other hotel departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and linens as needed.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• A positive attitude and commitment to excellent guest service are essential.
