Job Summary

The Behavioral Interventionist Onboarding Specialist takes the lead in the onboarding processes of Behavioral Interventionist candidates in our Kansas locations, including Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence, Pittsburg, Leavenworth, and KCK. The position assists in new employee orientation and federal and state regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Learn the tenets, processes and approved strategies of onboarding new BI staff at an expert level, following the requirements and policies of the agency, our contracts, and all state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct work assignments with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Complete Forms I‑9, verify I‑9 documentation and maintain I‑9 files.
  • Conduct new‑employee background checks.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist with employee file audits to ensure various legal and accreditation compliance standards.
  • Assist with processing of terminations.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process as needed.
  • Assist the Assistant Program Administrator with various compliance requests and reports.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee physical as well as digital files.
  • Some travel as needed between branches.
  • Assist in identifying and updating hiring process and background check requirements by state to ensure ongoing agency compliance.
  • Conduct biweekly orientation of BI staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
