Spirit Defense - Associate Industrial Security Specialist

Overview

This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit ( it Defense ). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.

The candidate will perform Industrial Security functions including:

• Maintenance of electronic personnel records
• Security clearance applications
• Initial and refresher security training
• Security incident investigations
• Physical security oversight of secure areas
• Classified meeting support
• Classified visit requests

This role will also include processing, monitoring and tracking cleared personnel foreign travel notifications, including pre-and post-travel briefings.

• Assist with the development, implementation and administering of policies and procedures
• Maintenance of electronic personnel records
• Administer training
• Assist in security investigations
• Physical security oversight of secured spaces
• Classified meeting support
• Classified visit requests

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment
• Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements
• Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including following through to closure and resolution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• 2+ years’ experience required

• Mid-Level (Level
  3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range - Associate (Level
2): $62,300 - $95,500

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level
3): $78,300 - $120,050

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
